Product Recalls This Week — May 4, 2026
This week's most serious recalls
We tracked 15 recalls this week. Three stand out as especially serious because they risk injury or death. Here's what you need to know.
Acer Electric Scooter Recall — Fall Hazard Risk puts riders of all ages at risk. A loose screw can cause the front tube to fold suddenly, throwing riders to the ground. If your family owns an Acer folding scooter, stop using it and contact the company for a repair or refund.
UHOMEPRO 5-Drawer Dresser Recall — Tip-Over Hazard affects families with young children. These dressers can tip over and trap a child underneath if not anchored to the wall. The particle board construction makes them unstable. If you own one, anchor it immediately or remove it from your home.
Earthtec Pool Drain Covers Recall — Entrapment and Drowning poses a drowning risk to all pool users. These white plastic covers can trap swimmers underwater. If you have one installed, remove it right away and replace it with a cover that meets safety standards.

Recall trends this month
This week we logged 15 recalls—four more than last week. The most common hazard this month has been undeclared allergens, which can trigger serious reactions in people with food sensitivities. Tip-over hazards for furniture and fall risks from equipment also appear frequently. These patterns remind us to check product safety alerts regularly, especially for items in children's rooms and homes with older adults.
